Swati Maliwal Biography 
Born on 15 October 1984 in Ghaziabad District of Uttar Pradesh in the family of Ashok Maliwal and Sangita Maliwal is a Vice Principal of a school in Delhi. Swati Maliwal who now lives in Delhi completed her senior Secondary from Amity International School, Noida in 2002 and Technical Education from JSS Academy, Noida. Swati joined Lady Shri Ram College of Delhi for studying Economics Honors but she gave up the course to pursue Engineering in Information Technology from JSS Academy of Technical Education.
Swati Maliwal currently is the Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women, responsible for safeguarding and to examine the cases of atrocities against women along with providing them the necessary help related to law and social security.
Swati Maliwal's appointment for the post is considered controversial but accepted now by all concerned parties although as per norms the post is strictly given to political persons. Swati took active part and campaigned on gender issues and she started working with ‘Parivartan’, a Delhi based social movement immediately after completing her graduation. She also worked in the slum areas of Delhi.
Swati Maliwal is wife AAP leader of Haryana Mr. Naveen Jaihind, who helped Arvind Keriwal in political matters. Swati Maliwal was married to Naveen Jaihind in 2013, who himself is a former student leader and active in politics of Haryana. Incidentally he was a member of the Core Committee during Anna Hazare movement.
It would be worth mentioning here that Arvind Kejriwal had made her Adviser on Grievances to the CM on an annual salary of Rs. Eighteen lakh entitling her with all perquisites and related facilities including an official vehicle and an office in the Delhi Secretariat. She was part of the number of political appointments by CM of Delhi to help him run the government smoothly.
