Swami Nithyananda Biography 
Swami Nithyananda is a god man and Hindu guru who came to limelight after the sex scandal videos shown on Sun TV. A video showing him with Tamil film actress Ranjitha was broadcast on Sun TV and its videos went viral over net. Thus he came tonation’s attention overnight. God man Nithyananda engaging in sexual acts with women shocked the believers and the news spread virally over net. He was accused of sexual harassment by his disciples which made him one of the top newsmakers of the year 2010. He is the founder of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, which had a lot of followers around. He has published more than 300 books in about 27 global languages.
He belongs to Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. As per two records available he was born on 1977 or 1978. Nithyananda claims that he became a student of Raghupati Yogi, a practitioner of Patanjali's Ashtanga Yoga at a young age. Later he learnt Vedanta, Siddha, Tantra and other eastern metaphysical sciences from various gurus. His real name is Rajashekar and he claims that he changed his name after a mystical experience with Mahavatar Babaji. He received a medication technique at the age of 11. Later he became known as a trained yogi, a powerful spiritual healer and a siddha who established Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam in 2003.
He believed in the principles of advaita Vedanta and was its preacher. When scandals surfaced in 2010, he lost popularity among his believers. It was a great shock to them and people protested outside his ashram.The actress Ranjitha claimed that this guru rapped her more than 40 times. Same year in December, an investigation was also conducted at his ashrams regarding his total assets. Nithyananda was arrested on April 21, 2010 and released on bail after 52 days in judicial custody.
