Sunil Sukhada Biography

Sunil Sukhada is one of the most noted character artists of Malayalam cinema at present, who made a late entry to film world. He owns a distinct acting skill and dialogue delivery style which makes him entirely different from his co-actors. He appears both in comic roles as well as negative roles. He made his film debut through 2010 movie, Best actor. He came to limelight in 2012 and has portrayed more than 50 roles in a short period. Red Wine, Punyalan agarbathis, Bharya Athra Pora, Swapna sanchari, Olipporu, Vallatha Pahayan, Chappakurishu, Polytechnic, London Bridge, Amen, Mosayile Kutthira Meenukal, Vedivazhipadu and Tourist Home are his noted roles. He is unmarried and currently stays with his mother. He owns a production company, Shoe strings.

His real name is Sunil. V. C born in Thrissur town. His father is a retired teacher, Sudhakara Panikker and his mother is Saraswati Amma. He studied at C. M. S School and Kerala Varma College, Thrissur. Since school days he was interested in acting and theater and after studies he joined Ranga Chetana, Theatre troupe. He appeared in a few television ads like Mathrubhumi newspaper and Mr. Light torch which brought him to limelight. His noted performance in the theater productions, Spinal Cord earned him film opportunities, and in 2010 he made debut through Best actor. Through his distinct dialogue delivery he gained attention through his second movie, Chappakurishu.

He has also directed 14 short films under his banner, Shoe strings. A few of them have been shown in many film festivals also. He has also served as the sound recordist of Malayalam movies – Raathri Mazha and Makara manju under the acclaimed director, Lenin Rajendran. Currently he resides at Poothole of Main Thrissur town. Sukhada is his house name. This actor is known for the dialogue delivery in typical Thrissur accent.
