Sunil Pal Biography

Sunil Pal is an Indian comedian, actor and winner of comedy reality shows on Indian television. He has also scripted and directed one movie titled Bhavnao Ko Samjho. The movie includes 51 stand-up comedians which itself is a record. He is also an actor and appears in comic roles in Bollywood movies. He is the winner of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge on STAR One in 2005.

Pal belongs to Chandrapur of Madhya Pradesh. His father worked in Indian railways and Pal reached Mumbai in 1995 as a part of his father’s transferable government job. His education was completed in Mumbai and since those days he was a mimicry artist who used to mimic celebrities. After studies he decided to join entertainment industry. Yet he had to struggle for almost three years to earn opportunities. He even worked as a waiter of a restaurant and slept in the streets in those struggling days. Yet he regularly tried to get opportunities in films. He joined film industry as a junior artist in 2001 with the movie Lagaan and later on received bit roles in movies. He also received an offer to participate a world tour as a junior artist with the team of Lagaan.

However the reality show - The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005 proved to be the milestone of his career where he emerged as the winner of the contest. There was no turning back after that. Hum Tum and Phir Hera Pheri were his early Bollywood movies and he played a pivot role in Bombay to Goa. His latest appearance was for the movie Kick in 2014.
