Sunil Kumar Biography 
Sunil Kumar is an Indian Kabaddi player who has been selected as the captain of Gujarat Fortunegiants for Season 6 in 2018. He is one of the youngest players of this side, and indeed a great achievement to lead his team at the age of only 21. Gujarat Fortunegiants started their first Pro Kabaddi League season with a bang as they reached the final of season 5. They lost in the finals to Patna Pirates. Sukesh Hegde led the team in the previous season, and now been snapped up by Tamil Thalaivas for Rs. 28 lakh. Sunil was the second-best defender for the last season with 57 tackle points, and that’s why he has been handed over the baton of captaincy for PKL season 6.
Sunil Kumar hails from Sonepat District of Haryana. He had a carefree childhood, and didn’t play Kabaddi very young. He started playing Kabaddi when he was 13-years-old, and since then Kabaddi is the only thing which he knows. In the first season of Gujarat Fortunegiants in the league in 2017, Sunil had a major setback in his personal life as his father passed away. He is the eldest kid of his family and hence the breadwinner of his family right now.
He tries to take maximum time for practice at his hometown, so that he can spend that time with family and close ones. Gujarat Fortunegiants is being coached by former Kabaddi player Manpreet Singh. Only Sachin Tanwar, Mahendra Ganesh Rajput, and defender Sunil Kumar have been for season 6. Sunil has been retained ahead of the PKL auction for a price of 49.1 Lakhs.
