Sundar C Babu Biography

Sundar C Babu is a popular music composer associated with south Indian movies. He is the son of famous Veena artist Chitti Babu and Sudakshina Devi. Made his debut as an independent music composer in the year 2006, he has completed one decade in the industry. Chacko Randaaman – The Malayalam movie in 2006 marked his career debut as a music composer and he shot to fame the same year with his debut Tamil flick – Chithiram Pesuthadi. Shambo Shiva Shambo was his first hit in Telugu film music.

 

Sundar C Babu was born in Chennai into a family of musicians. Both this parents Chitti Babu and Sudakshina Devi were famous Veena artists. Her mother accompanied Chittubabu for concerts across the globe. Sundar is the great grandson of Pattabhi Seetharamaiah, founder of Andhra Bank and former Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Sudakshina Devi was the granddaughter of Pattabhi  Seetharamaiah. Sundar has two elder brothers. His elder brother Rangasayee is settled in US while his second brother Radhakrishnalives in Hyderabad.

 

Chacko Randaaman in 2006 marked his debut as a music composer and he got noticed through the compositions of the Tamil film – Chithiram Pesuthadi the same year. The album included 12 tracks includingfour instrumental tracks."Vaala Meenukkum" was an instant hit."Idam Porul Parthu", "Mazhai Mazhai" and "Idhu Enna Pudhu Kanavo” are among the other popular songs of the movie. He made his Telugu film debut in the year 2008 with the film – Sneham.

 

Nadodigal, Sindhu Samaveli, Markandeyan, Agam Puram, Viruthagiri, Agarathi, Aadu Puli, Thoonga Nagaram, Poraali, Markandeyan, Attietc are some of his popular Tamil films. Two songs were included in the Bollywood film – Rangrezz, remake of Tamil hit Nadodigal, for which he composed music.
