Sumanth Biography 
Sumanth is an Indian film actor who concentrates in Telugu film industry. He belongs to a family of filmy background and is the grandson of the actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. His full name is Sumanth Kumar.
Sumanth was born on 9th February 1975 in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. His father’s name is Surendra Yarlagadda and his mother’s name is Satyavathi Akkineni. As his parents were staying in US, he stayed with his grandfather in India during his younger days and was adopted by his grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao and his wife Annapurna Akkineni.
He completed his schooling from Hyderabad Public School in 1992 and joined an engineering course at Michigan in United States. He was not interested in engineering and so he went to Columbia College in Chicago to learn about filming. He was an excellent student in his college days. The actors Venkatesh Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, Sushanth and Rana Daggubati are his cousins. He married the actress Keerthi Reddy in 2004 and they were divorced in 2006.
He started his career in acting in 1999 through the film Prema Katha which was a moderate success but grabbed many Nandi Awards. He got critical acclaim for his performance in the films. His first blockbuster was Satyam in 2003 with Genelia D’Souza produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna. Many of his films turned out to be great successes establishing him as a successful actor in Telugu film industry. He is also a partner in his family production house Annapurna Studios established by his grandfather in 1975.
Some of the films that he has acted include Daggaraga Dooramga, Raaj, Golconda High School, Boni, Pourudu, Classmates, Madhumasam, Chinnodu, Godavari, Maha Nandi, Soggadu, Gowri, Satyam, Pelli Sambandham, Yuvakudu, Prema Katha, etc.
