Suman Setty Biography

Suman Setty is a comedian of south Indian movies, most noted for his striking resemblance with comedian of Tamil movies during 1990s – Senthil. He works in both Telugu and Tamil movies. It was renowned Cine Story Writer Satyanand who first identified and encouraged his acting skills and prompted him to try in movies. Jayam was his first major break. As a comedian, he is known for the movies –Godfather (2006), Happy (2006) and Naa Alludu (2005). He has completed more than a decade in the industry witnessing ups and downs and has acted in more than 190 movies.

 

Suman was born in 1981 in Miryalaguda, AP. He discontinued his studies after intermediate to financially help his family. His family owned a shop which sold rice and oil. Once he happened to read an advertisement from a newspaper which called for entries from newcomers. He was called for the audition and there was no turning back after that. He moved from Poorna Market in Visakhapatnam to Manikonda, the residence of many well-known film celebrities. He is well aware of his limitations of being short and voice with less clarity. Yet he became successful in the industry with his dialogue modulation and expressions.

 

In 2002, Telugu movie, Jayam marked his onscreen debut where he played the role of hero’s friend Ali. He got Nandi awards for best comedian for this movie. 7/G Rainbow Colony, Annavaram, Ranam, Bendu Apparao R.M.P, Raju Bhai, Bommana Brothers Chandana Sisters, Ready, Sandakozhi, Naa Alludu, Endhukante... Premanta!, Baladur, Andhra Andagadu and Nijam are his other noted appearances. He played lead role as film hero in Andaala Amitabh Bachchan.
