Sujith Vaassudev Biography 
Sujith Vaassudev is a cinematographer and film director who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. As a cinematographer he is best known for the works – Ayaal, Memories, Ezra, Anarkali, Drishyam, 7th Day, Punyalan Agarbattis and Amar Akbar Antony. He also did camera work for Tamil film, Papanasam, remake of Malayalam hit, Drishyam. He made his acting debut through Amar Akbar Antony in 2015. In 2013, he won the prestigious Kerala state award for best cinematographer for his work for Ayaal and Memories. Sujith is one of the most sought cinematographer of Malayalam cinema at present. He frequently works in Prithviraj movies. In 2015 he made his acting debut through Amar Akbar Antony and the following year made his directorial debut through James and Alice.
Sujith hails from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He is married to noted actress Manju Pillai since year 2000. It’s her second marriage. The couple has one daughter. He made his debut as a cinematographer with Chekavar in 2010. After that he did camera work for College Days, City of God, Mullamottum Munthiricharum, Molly Aunty Rocks! etc. Year 2013 proved to a great turning point in Sujith’s career. His camera work for Memories and Ayaal gave him a career breakthrough, as well as state award for best cinematographer. Memories also proved to be a major breakthrough of Prithviraj’s career who never looked back after that. His work for Ayaal also gave him a nomination at SIIMA Awards for Best Cinematographer.
It followed a series of hits mostly associated with Prithviraj, with whom he did his debut film as a director – James and Alice in 2016. This fantasy film opened to mixed reviews, and the length of the movie testing audience’s patience was its only drawback. Drishyam also remains one of his major works. He also got opportunity to do cinematography in its Tamil version starring Kamal Hassan.
