Sudhin Dasgupta Biography 
Sudhin Dasgupta was a music director, lyricist, and singer belonging to Bengali language. He has given significant contributions to Bengali basic song as well as film songs. In basic Bengali songs, “Ei Jhir Jhir Batase”, “Bhanga Torir Sudhu E Gaan”, “Ami Taar Thikana Rakhini”, “Ekta Gaan Likho Amar Jonno”, “Oi Ujjolo Din”, “Saat Ronga Ek Pakhi”, “Akash Eto Meghla” and “Naam Rekhechi Bonolata” belong to his hit track records. “Antaral”, “Shankhabela”, “Tin Bhuboner Pare”, “Prothom Kodom Phul”, “Chaddabeshi”, “Picnic”, “Har Mana Har”, “Basanta Bilap”, “Hangsaraj” and “Amrito Kumbher Sondhane” are his noted film hits. Sudhin Dasgupta - Uttam Kumar - Manna Dey has given many magical hits to the industry.
Sudhin Dasgupta was born in October 1929 in Bengal. He was brought up in Darjeeling. He entered film industry during its golden era of music. In 1957, Sudhin Dasgupta entered the Bengali Film industry as the music composer. The movie was Ulka followed by“Dakharkara”. The film was noted for its wonderful lyrics Bengali novelist, Tarashankar Bandopadhyay. After that he became an established name in the industry. He worked both as the lyricist and the composer and worked for around fifty Bengali films. He was equally verse in playing western musical instruments as well as Indian instruments like Tabla, Sitar, Piano and Harmonium.
The amazing trio - Sudhin Dasgupta, Uttam Kumar, and Manna Dey have given numerous memorable songs to the industry like “Shankhabela”, “Kokhono Megh”, “Manjari Opera”, “Chhadmabeshi”, "Har Mana Har" and "Raater Rajanigandha". Hemanta Kumar Mukhopadhyay, Manna Dey, Dwijen Mukhopadhyay, Talat Mahmood, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Mohammed Rafi, Manabendra Mukhopadhyay, Satinath Mukhopadhyay, Sandhya Mukhopadhyay and Shyamal Mitra are the leading names with whom he has worked. He has also done several ad jingles.
