Sudesh Bhonsle Biography

Sudesh Bhosle is a leading playback voice of Bollywood music industry. He is also known as the mimic of Amitabh Bachchan too and has rendered his voice for Big B in many hit movies of 90’s. Actually he sings in two voices – his own voice as well as Amitabh Bachchan’s voice if situation demands.

 

He debut Bollywood with Zalzala in 1988 and has contributed a lot of hit songs to Bollywood. He sang his first song along with Anuradha Paudwal and Shailendra Singh. It was R.D.Burman and Laxmikanth Pyarelal who recognized the talent of Sudesh Bhosle as a singer. Most of those songs belong to fast track dance numbers. He is a successful mimicry artist too. He has also dubbed for Sanjeev Kumar in the movie Professor ki padosan due to his sudden death. He is a judge for many reality shows of television too. K for Kishore – singing talent hunt show of Sony Television is the most prominent show among them. He performs live at many concerts too – both as a singer and mimicry artist.

 

Sudesh Bhosle – Big B combination has given numerous fast tracks and comedy tracks to Bollywood music. He was also known as Amitabh’s voice and most of the songs offered to him were of Amitabh Bachchan. Very often people misinterpret his voice to be Big B’s.  Their association became a big success with the mega blockbuster song of Hum in 1991 – Jumma chumma de de. They had together done a few movies together before also. Though the song was a little controversial for its lyrics, it hit the bull’s eye and Sudesh Bhonsle became a star over night. Other hit songs of this amazing pair include Shona shone dil mera shone of Mayor Saab and Chal chal ri of Akayla. For Amitabh Bachchan movie Ajooba, he sang ‘Yeh Ali’ song in his voice and the rest two in Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. The title track was a hit.

 

His other hits in Amitabh Bachchan voice include – Shava shava of Kabhi khushi kabhi gum, Ga re mann of Babul, Chali chali re and Meri makhna of Baghpan, Mere buddy of Bhootnath and Oh sawariya of Aladdin.
