Suchitra (film Actress) Biography

Suchitra is a former actress of Malayalam cinema who was most active in the era of 1990s. She is a TV anchor too. She was one of the leading ladies during early 1990s. She has been a part of several multi-star cast comedy movies, which has been a common trend of Mollywood in the early 1990s. Apart from Malayalam, she has also done a few films in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. She made her film debut through 1990 film No.20 Madras Mail – one of the rarest Malayalam movies where Mammootty and Mohanlal shared screen space. Kasargod Khader Bhai, Sthreedhanam, Kashmeeram, Kanyakumariyil Oru Kavitha, Bharatham, Neelakurukkan, Mantrika cheppu, Kashmeeram, Hitler, Rakkili paatu, Kadinjool Kalyanam, Neelakurukkan, Mimics Parade, Kuttetan and Mookkillarajyathu are some of her memorable roles. She acted with Mukesh, Saikumar, Jagadish and Siddique in many movies.

She was born on July 22, 1975. She played child artist role in many movies since late 1970s. She worked as a child artist in Vrutham, Oothikachiya Ponnu, Angaadi, Adimakkachavadam and a few more. She made her adult debut at the age of only 14 with the murder mystery - No.20 Madras Mail. She played the lead role Devi, who is murdered.  This film was remade in Hindi as Teesra Kaun where Somy Ali reprised her role. Since then she appeared in numerous movies and had a huge fan following crowd. She played both traditional and glamorous roles and both were equally appreciated.

Gopura Vasalile in 1991 marked her Tamil debut. She played the role of Adv. Soumini in the bilingual Snehithiye. She played Mammotty's wife in Rakshasa Rajavu (2002). Since then she disappeared from big screen. She got married in 1999.
