Sruthi Lakshmi Biography

Sruthi Lakshmi is a Malayalam actress who appears in movies and television serials. She started her career as a child artist and later moved to television. After that she made her big screen debut through Dileep starrer Romeo in 2007, where she appeared as one among the three female leads, aside Vimala Raman and Samvrutha Sunil. Hotel California is her latest release in which she played the role of Linda Tharakan, the female character blackmailed by Jayasurya. Apart from supporting roles, she has also played lead roles in a few movies like Pachuvum Kovalanum, Aazhakadal and Swantham Bharya Zindabad though none were successful. She has also appeared in supporting roles in movies like Love In Singapore, Bharya Swantham Suhruthu, College Kumaran etc.

She was born in Kannur on 8 September 1986 as the daughter of cine artist, Lissy Jose and Jose. She trained in classical dance forms since childhood. In 2000, she made her small screen debut as a child artist through Asianet serial, Nizhalukal. Later she appeared in television serials like Nakshathrangal, Detective Anand etc as a child artist. In 2000, she briefly appeared as a child artist in Malayalam comedy movie, Swayamvara Panthal which started Jayaram and Samyuktha Varma in lead roles. She continued appearing as a child artist for movies like Maanikyan, Ben Johnson and Swarna Medal.

As an adult actress, Romeo was her first movie. Though she has appeared in numerous movies in lead and parallel lead roles, she has not been successful in this field. Now she appears in television serials as well. Now she appears in serial Kanmani, aired on Surya television.
