Sridevi Kapoor Biography 
Sridevi Kapoor was born on 13th August 1963. Her childhood name was Shree Amma Yanger. She is an Indian actress and had acted in a number of films in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. She started to act as a child star at the age of four. She has won Filmfare Awards four times twice for Hindi movies and once for Tamil and once for Telugu movies. She left the cinema industry in 1997.
Her father name was Ayyappan and mother was Rajeswari. She was born in Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu. Her mother tongue is Tamil. She has one sister and two step brothers. She married Boney Kapoor who is a film producer after he divorced his first wife. Her two daughters are Jhanvi and Kushi. Her first film in Tamil was Kandan Karunai in 1967 in which she acted as a child artist. Balachander’s movie Moondru Mudichu in 1976 gave her first big break as a heroine.
Some of the movies that she acted in Tamil with Kamal Hassan are Guru, Sigappu Rojakkal, Thaayillaamal Naan Illai, Meendum Kokila, Vazhvey Maayam, Varumayin Niram Sigappu, Neela Malargal, 16 Vayathinile, Moondram Pirai, Sankarlal and the films that she acted with Rajinikanth are Gayathri, Dharma Yuddham, Priya, Johny, Ranuva Veeran, Pokkiri Raja, Thanikattu Raja, Adutha Varisu and Naan Adimai Illai.
She acted in a number of Telugu movies of K. Raghavendra Rao. The movies that she acted with N. T. Rama Rao are Konda Veeti Simham, Vetagadu, Sardar Paparayudu and Bobbili Puli. Mudulla Koduku, Premabhishekham, Bangaru Kanku and Premakanuka are the movies that she acted with N. Nageswara Rao.
Later she started to act in Hindi films. She initially acted with Jeetendra. Her first Hindi film was Solva Saawan. Her second film Himmatwala was a blockbuster and established her as star of Hindi film industry. Some of her films are Jaani Dost, Mawaali, Karma, Nagina, Kudha Gawah, Kshana Kshanam, Gumrah, Laadia, Judaai, etc. She won Filmfare award for Chaalbaz and got a nomination for Chandni. She also appeared in some TV serials and shows like Malini Iyer and Kaboom.
Sridevi died on 24 February 2018 in Dubai. Although it was announced earlier that the cause of death was a cardiac arrest, the forensic report released by Dubai Police said that Sridevi died of accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub. Traces of alcohol were found in her body and water was found in her lungs.
