Spruha Joshi is a noted film, theatre and television actress of Marathi language. 2011 Marathi film Morya is the breakthrough movie of her career. She has also appeared earlier in Marathi movie, Maaybaap (2004). Eka Lagnachi Teesri Goshta, Satyamev Jayte, Unch Maaza Zoka, De Dhamaal, Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta, Agnihotra, Ek Ha Asa Dhaga Sukhacha, Stuglers, Aabhalmaya and Bombay Lawyers are her television serials. She has also acted in Marathi plays – Nandi, Lahan Pan De Ga Deva and Never Mind. Spruha Joshi is a popular name in Marathi Industry.

Spruha was born on 13 October 1989 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to Shirish Joshi. She studied at Balmohan Vidyamandir School and graduated from Mumbai University. She became active in theater since her school days and continued it in her college days as well. She has appeared in a television show - De Dhamaal of Zee Marathi as a child artist during her school days. Ek Ha Asa Dhaga Sukhacha, Abhaḷamaya, Bombay Lawyers and Satyamev Jayte are her other television serials. While studying at college, she appeared in stage play, Ga Ma Bha Na and made her film debut in 2004 through Maaybaap. Then she became active in theater and television and became a popular actress as well.

She played lead roles in the plays Lahan Pan Dega Devaa and Never Mind. Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta in 2012 is one of her popular television serials in which she acted as the cousin of Swapnil Joshi. She is also a composer and has won “Balshri Award – 2003 for creative writing” and “Kavi Kusumgraj Puraskar”. She writes for the youth oriented section, “college club reporter” for Loksatta daily.
