Sophie Choudry Biography

Sophie Chaudhary is a model, actress, VJ and pop singer. She was born in London, UK. She was a successful Video Jockey of MTV India. As an actress she has appeared in a few Bollywood films also, though not successful. She has also appeared with item numbers and guest appearances. She is mostly casted in glamour roles in most of her movies. She appeared in movies like – I see you, Shaadi no.1, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara!, Aa Dekhen Zara, Daddy cool, Pyar ke side effects, Chintuji, Speed, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, Kidnap and Aggar. She can speak the languages, English, Hindi, Urdu, French and Italian with fluency. She learnt Western classical music from Helena Shenel in UK for three years. She learnt a little bit Indian classical music from Pandit Ashkaran Sharma also. Her remixed song, Pardesiya was very popular.

 
Her father adored Sophia Loren and he gave the name Sophie to his daughter. She studied at the London School of Economics, graduating in European politics and French. She is also a gold medalist from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. After that she studied in "Sciences Po” for two years. Later Choudry became a VJ for Zee UK. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer also. She learnt kathak in Mumbai for two years and Western dance, salsa.

 
Her dream was to pursue a career in singing. She was launched to music by Bidoo when she was only 12 years. Bidoo was the musician who identified this talent of Sophie. In 2000, she started her career as a pop singer with her all-girl band "Sansara". Yeh dil sun raha hai was a popular track from this album. Very soon the band separated and Choudry started her solo singing. She became VJ of MTV in 2002 and became a well known star. Sound of Sophie and Sophie & Dr. Love are the popular albums of Sophie.
