Siddique (malayalam Actor) Biography

Siddique is a Malayalam film actor, producer and television compere who has been active in the industry since early 90’s. During the first phase of his career he was most known for comic roles, where he was usually associated with contemporaries like Mukesh, Saikumar, Jayaram, Sainudden and Jagdeesh. Later on he switched on to serious roles as well as character roles also.

Siddique started his career in the late 1980s with minor roles. Aa Neram Alpam Dooram (1985) was his debut movie. His major break was Siddique-Lal’s super hit comedy In Harihar Nagar (1990), where he worked along with Mukesh, Jagadeesh and Asokan. After that he didn’t look back and appeared in numerous movies during 1990’s. When one of the directors of Harihar Nagar, Lal made its sequel in 2009 about 20 years after the release of Harihari Nagar, he did the same role and the movie was well received by public too. 2 Harihari Nagar was the top movie of 2009 and very soon, Lal released its third packet with same group of actors – In ghost house inn. This movie also became successful in box office.

Before getting his dream role in ‘In harihar nagar’, he played minor roles in hit movies like – Carnival, Witness, Vazhiyorakazhchakal, David David Mr David, Nair Saab, Kaalalppada, Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal, Purapaad, Pradeshika vaarthakal, Nagaraglil chennu Rapparkkam, Varthamaana kaalam, No.20 Madras Mail, Paavam paavam rajakumaran, Ganamela, Dina rathrangal, Arodum Parayaruthu, New Delhi and Bhoomiyile Rajakkanmar.

Soon after the release of In Harihar Nagar, he got good roles in movies like Innathe program, Irikku M.D Akkathundu, Gandhari, Sundari kaakka, Godfather, Kadinjool kalyanam, Ezhunnallathu, Kallan Kappalil Thanne, Mr and Mrs, Ezharaponnanna, Kunukkitta kozhi, Cheppadi vidya, Janam, Valsalyam, Kasargod Khader Bhai, Poochakaru Manikkettum, Congardutaion Miss Anitha menon, Daivathinte Vikrithikal, Priyapetta kukoo, Soorya Manasam, Ayalathe Adheham and Mimics Parade. He was successfully paired with actress Sunitha in majority of his movies.     

Towards 2000, he moved towards character roles. His comic role in Mohan lal’s Chota Mumbai was most appreciated. He has also worked in movies like Natturajavu, Kaiyethum doorathu, Thaskara veeran and Greetings.
