Siddhanta Mahapatra Biography 
Siddhanta Mahapatra is an Indian actor who works in Oriya and Bengali movies. He became a top actor of Oriya during 1990’s. He is a politician also and has been elected to Lok Sabha in 2009 as a member of the Parliament of India. He joined Biju Janata Dal in 2009 and contested as MP from Berhampur constituency in the 2009. His noted movies include - Laxman Rekha, Mote Bohu Kari Nei Jaa, Samaya Kheluchi Chaka Bhaunri, Dauli express, Rakhi Bandhili mo rakhiba mana, Tu Eka Aama Saha Bharasha, Samaya Chaka re Sansar Ratha, Katha Kahiba Mo Matha Sindur, Rakata Kahiba Kiye Kahara, Sakhi Rakhiba Mo Shankha Sindura, Lakhe Siba Puji Paichi Pua, Nari Bi Pindhipare Rakta Sindura, Kandhei Akhire Luha, Tulasi, Ganga Jamuna, Sahara Jaluchi and Kali Shankar. His debut movie was Sradhanjali.
Siddhanta was born at Balugaon, a small town at Odisha on 4 May 1966 as the son of doctors. He completed his schooling from St Vincent's Convent School, Berhampur. Later he took graduation in commerce from D.D. College, Keonjhar. His PG course was done at Institute of Marketing and Management, Delhi. He is married to actress Mama Mishra, and has a son with his named as Sai Samarth. He was briefly married to Rachana Banerjee, but got divorced. Together they have worked together in many movies during 1990’s.
He entered Ollywood in 1993 at the age of 27. His debut movie was Sradhanjali starring opposite Lekha Nanda. His acting skills as well as action sequences are equally appreciated by his fans. Till now, he has acted in more than 150 movies and includes many super hit movies as well. Now he is a Member of Parliament for Berhampur constituency from Biju Janata Dal party.
