Shweta Shetty Biography 
Shweta Shetty is a well-established pop singer from India. She was one of the leading names in the industry when Indi pop boomed in Indian music industry. She has also sung a few chartbuster Bollywood songs, pre-dominantly in the 1990s. As a playback singer, she shot to fame with Mangtha Hai Kya song of Rangeela in 1995, she sang aside the composer A. R. Rahman, who marked his Bollywood debut as a singer with this song, and debut as a composer with the album too. She also sang the Hindi version of Rukmani Rukmani for Roja. Deewane Deewane To Deewane Hain in the mid-1990s is her most popular music video. She sang the track, and also featured as the model in this chartbuster song. Title track of Dil La Ley was yet another chartbuster hit.
She was featured as one among the artists of the video song, Wajah Muskurane Ki. Shweta Shetty also owns many hit songs to her credit, and most of them are fast tracks, item songs and peppy numbers. Dil Tote Tote Ho Gaya of Bichoo, Rukmani Rukmani of Roja, Dhak Dhak and Pichu Pade Hai of Salakhein, Mangtha Hai Kya from Rangeela, Kaale Kaale Baal of Ziddi etc are among her chartbuster Bollywood songs. She released an album, "Jaane Ja" in 2000 which was the first pop album released in Germany by an Indian artist. It was a mix of influences, Indian as well as Western.
Shweta hails from South India. She was 14 when she started taking classical music lessons. But when she started to sing and perform musicals, she experimented with musical styles outside of the classical field, such as Soul and Pop. Her career actually started with A.R. Rahman, when she got her first big break through Rangeela. She is married to a German.
