Shriya Pilgaonkar is an Indian film actress who is to debut big screen in the much awaited project starring Shah Rukh Khan – Fan. As reported there is no leading lady for the movie. Yet Shriya is to play an important role in the project. Produced under the banner Yash raj films, the movie is directed by Maneesh Sharma. The movie also stars Supermodel Waluscha De Sousa. The producers announced two less-known heroines for the movie and Shriya bagged one of those prestigious roles. Shriya is the daughter of the famous couple of Marathi film fraternity - Sachin Pilgaonkar and his wife Supriya Pilgaonkar. She has co-produced 'Panchagavya', a short documentary before her foray to films.

Shriya was born into a Marathi family of strong film and theater background. She is the daughter of Sachin Pilgaonkar and his wife Supriya Pilgaonkar, who has worked in films, theatre and television, both Hindi and Marathi. One of the most reputed families of Marathi film industry, Shriya started off as a theatre actress. She has also directed a few short films before her debut as a film actress through the Marathi movie - ‘Ekulti Ek’ in 2013. The movie was produced by their home production company. It was Sachin’s 50^th year in the film industry and the movie starred Sachin, his wife Surpriya and their daughter Shriya, playing the same roles on screen as well. The movie also starred Ashok Sharaf and Kishori Shahane-Vij in supporting roles.  

‘Ekulti Ek’ was a perfect launch for Shriya and she didn’t disappoint the audience. The movie received good response from critics. Shriya with her soothing voice, expressions, dialogues and attitude conquered everyone’s heart through this father-daughter story. As an actress, Fan is her second movie.
