Shridhar Phadke Biography 
Shridhar Phadke is a famous singer and composer from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is the son of late music director of Marathi movies, Sudhir Phadke and Lalita Deulkar. Phadke was born on September 9, 1950 in Mumbai. As a music composer, his Marathi movies are Lekru, Putravati, Vishwavinayak, Laxmichi Paule, Hridaisparshi, Vaarsa Laxmicha and Gharabaaher. His independent popular albums include - Omkar Swaroopa, Avagha Vitthaloo, Rutu Hirawa, Bhavdhara, Swarvel, Aboliche Bol, Rat Re Gurucharani, Tallin Govinde, Sur Varada Rama, Phite Andharache Jaale, Tejomaya Naadabramha, Kaahi Bolayache Aahe, Sangeet Manamohi Re, Gajavadan Sundar, Lilaav and He Gagana.
Phadke took graduation from D. G. Ruparel College of Arts Science and Commerce. During 1970’s, he took post graduation in Information Technology from US. Once returned he joined Air India and got retired as Executive Director-IT in the year 2009. Phadke didn’t learn music from any gurus. Yet he has been talented in composing music and his music has been loved by millions too. His first composition was a devotional song Devachiye Dwari and he created this tune while studying in USA. He sang this song in one of his programs in USA for which he received appreciation. Later he recorded this song in the voice of Suresh Wadkar.
As a film music composer his first project was a Marathi movie, Laxmichi Paule. Later he became a popular music director of Marathi. Phadke has won numerous awards for his music including Filmfare. He has won Filmfare awards for best music director thrice - Varsa Laxmicha (1994), Putravathi (1996) and Lakaru (2000). Phadke is regular in stage performances as well. He has performed in many foreign concerts as well. Rutu Hirawa, Babujinchi Gaani, Geet Ramayan, Phite Andharache Jaale and Omkar Swaroopa are a few of such successful programs.
