Shreshta Biography 
Shreshta is a popular female lyricist associated with Telugu cinema at present. Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy are popular among her works. She is the first female lyricist of Telugu film industry, who is associated with the field since 2013."Madhurame" and "Gundelona" from Arjun Reddy, "Arere Arere" from Jabardasth, "O Madhurame" and "Bangaru Konda" from Ko Ante Koti, "Maya O Maya" from Courier Boy Kalyan and "Chinuku Taake" and "Merise Merise" from Pelli Choopulu are among her popular songs. "Neevalaney" and "Enno Enno Bhaavaley" from Yuddham Sharanam is her most recent work. She is a recipient of Debutant Award at Cine Maa Mahila Awards in 2013 for her debut work, Oka Romantic Crime Katha.
She hails from Mancherial in Adilabad district, Telangana. She is a single girl child to her parents. Her father is a businessman and mother, a government employee. Since younger age, Shresta got drawn towards writing and started writing poems during her 10th grade. Her writing talents were well-encouraged by her grandfather. She holds Bachelors in Commerce and LLB at Osmania University.
While doing her studies at Osmania University, classes were often disrupted by Telangana agitations. She used this time to do a Company Secretary course in Chennai. She happened to meet actor Bhanu Chander and a few others, who promoted her and asked her to write songs for films. Sunil Kumar Reddy’s Oka Romantic Crime Katha, marked her debut and it was a history born. She became the first female lyricist of Telugu cinema, fully dominated by male lyricists.
After a string of hits to her credit, it wasn’t easy to establish herself as the first female lyricist in Telugu cinema. Her works were backed by Madhura Sreedhar, Tammareddy Bharadwaja and Big Ben Productions, which helped her to bag some prestigious projects in the recent times.
