Shivranjani Singh Biography

Shivranjani Singh is an Indian playback singer associated with Bollywood. She came to prominence after the song, "Oh Boy" from the movie Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3. Her song – “Love to Hate You” from Hate Story was also popular. She made her debut to Bollywood scene in the year 2013 with the song, "Solah Baras ki" for the movie – Sixteen. She sang the song aside Shalmali Kholgade. The song was composed by Gaurav Dargaonkar. Since then she rendered her voice for songs belonging to the movies - Baankey ki Crazy Baraat, Dee Saturday Night, Angry Young Man etc.

 

She was born in Delhi in 1994. Her family originally belongs to Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Born in Delhi, she later shifted to Mumbai. She was born into a family with connections to music and Bollywood. Her father Shakti Singh is a former first class cricketer who has also sang a few songs for Bollywood since 2006 post retirement. Her mother Mala Singh is a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman. Since young, Shivranjani excelled in singing, dancing and acting.

 

She participated in singing based reality show - Hannah Montana - The Big Popstar Dream Contest on Disney Channel. She won the contest and after that she took decision to pursue music as her career. She also got opportunity to feature in a music video for Disney Channel. She decided to complete her studies first, before taking music as her profession. She completed graduation in Biochemistry. In 2013 she got her first break to Bollywood through the film – Sixteen. "Oh Boy" from the movie Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 was her first major hit. Though she got offers to act in television serials and small budget films, she decided to take music as profession.
