Shivendra Kumar Singh Biography

Shivendra Kumar Singh the Special Correspondent of ABP News and coumnist for various newspapers was born and brought up in Allahabadand, he has experience of 17 years in writing field. He started writing articles at the age of 18, when he was a student of intermediate. He completed his Graduation from University of Allahabad and then did his Diploma in Journalism from Delhi.

He began his career with Hindi daily 'Amar Ujala' in the year 1999 and then joined Zee News as a Trainee Reporter the same year. He was promoted to the post of Special Correspondent in 2006 and worked for Zee TV up to 2007. He was handed the charge of head of sports team of Zee TV in 2006. He joined ABP News in 2007 (Formerly Star News) as a special Correspondent. 

Shivendra Kumar Singh covered all the big sports events throughout the world and he has been covering almost all major sports events in his illustrious reporting career of over a decade now. He began his journey of International sports from the historical cricket tour of Indian cricket team in Pakistan during 2004, Olympics in Beijing and London, Asian Games in Guangzhou in China and Cricket World Cup and Champions Trophy.

Shivendra Kumar Singh has written a book “Yeh Jo Hai Pakistan”, which was published by Bhartiya Jnanpith in 2012. He feels pleased that his book did so well that within a short period the book was ready for its second edition. The book has been chosen to be published in English and Urdu also. Shivendra Kumar Singh has covered some special events including the one that involved Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh in Monkey Gate episode with an Australian player and also the mysterious death of Coach Bob Woolmer, besides he covered so many other match fixing cases.
