Shiv Pandit Biography

Shiv Pandit is a Bollywood actor, television host and a successful model. Pandit made his big screen debut in 2011 with the critically acclaimed & commercially successful Hindi film 'Shaitan’ for which he earned a Filmfare nomination for best debutant. Leelai marked his Tamil debut as lead actor. Most recently he was seen as Akshay Kumar’s younger brother in Bollywood movie, Boss. Sprite, Airtel, Tide, Colgate, LG and Rotomac are a few television ads in which Pandit has appeared. He has appeared in a couple of English short films - The Other Woman (2010) and The Private Life Of Albert Pinto (2008). Gayatri Pandit is his sister who has worked as assistant director of Bollywood movies like Boss and Dezi Boys.

He was born on 21 June 1984 in Nagpur, Maharastra. After studies, he was active in theatre for about 4 years. He has been associated with drama troupe of Vivek Mansukhani in Delhi. FIR in 2006 marked his television debut. He worked in this television series for 2 years before accepting ‘Bombay talking’. Later he was offered in several similar roles and he didn’t accept. He believes in good work than money and waiting for good projects to come. Most recently he rejected to play Anushka Sharma's on-screen lover in her first production as he doesn’t want to do a heroine-centric film at this point of his career.

He anchored Indian Premier League Season 1 on SET Max for the show 'Extraaa Innings T20' in 2008. His debut Tamil movie, Leelai was a lagged project. Yet once released, it received positive reviews. It was during the time when he was busy with First IPL season. He was paired opposite Manasi Parekh in this movie.
