Shillpi Sharma Biography

Shillpi Sharma, also known as Shilpi Sharma and Shilpi Mudgal is a model and she has appeared in a few Bollywood movies. She made her film debut through 2001 hit, Style and most recently she was seen in Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Heroine’ (2012), where she played the supporting role of Isha. She had to lose her weight and sign a non-disclosure agreement for the movie. She hails from a political and business background and acting happened to her by chance. She has appeared in a music video of Harry Anand in the late 1990’s.

She was born in 1983 in Dholpur, Rajasthan. Her uncle has served as an MLA and state minister. She belongs to a family with business background too. She started her career through modelling and TV advertisements and endorsed many brands like HSBC, McDonalds, Park Avenue and Pears. She also appeared in a few popular music videos. She made her acting debut through 2001 comedy movie, Style. She appeared in the movie with stage name, Shilpi Mudgal. She played lead role aside an ensemble cast of debutantes - Sharman Joshi, Sahil Khan and Riya Sen. Model-actress Tara Deshpande also played a pivot role in the movie. She played a rich girl aside Riya, whom the lead actors try to win their hearts.

Later she played supporting roles in Sunny Deol starrer, Jo Bole So Nihaal and Right Yaaa Wrong. She made a cameo appearance in Subhash Ghai’s Right Yaaa Wrong. She has been struggling in Bollywood to get meaty roles and till now has not been successful. She got a good role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s movie “Heroine”. She played the role of an actress with negative shades in the movie.
