Sheeba Chaddha Biography

Sheeba Chaddha is an actress who works in movies, television and theatre. She is concentrated on Hindi most. As a film actress, her noted works include - Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Parzania (2007), Delhi 6 (2009) and Luck by Chance (2009) and Talaash (2012). Her popular works on television include - Na Aana Is Des Laado, Hitler didi,  Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Kasturi, Love marriage, Kahani Saat Pheron Ki, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Lakhon Mein Ek.

Sheeba Chaddha was born in Delhi in 1973. She took English literature degree from Hans Raj College. She was interested in theater and attended workshops while in Delhi. She made her acting debut in big screen with Dil se in 1998. Her role in Hum dil de chuke sanam was her first noted work. Later she appeared in character roles like Parzania, Delhi 6, Luck by chance and Talaash. Her role of Nirmala as a sex worker in the movie ‘Talaash’ brought good reviews from critics.

She made her television debut with Love marriage in 2002. Later she took a break from the television industry and returned only back in 2007. She appeared in Katuri, followed by Na Aana Is Des Laado (2009-2012), Kitani Mohabbat Hai (2009), Kahani Saat Pheron Ki (2007), Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (2001-2013) and Hitler didi and Lakhon Mein Ek (2012). She has worked with Rajat Kapoor in a few plays of which she got good responses for “C for Clown” (2007) and “The Blue Mug”. A few popular Englisg plays of Sheeba are The dream play, The balcony, Waiting for Godot and The chairs. Currently she is associated with theatre group “The company theatre”, that performs India and abroad. Now she is involved with EVAM of The company theatre.
