Shamoly Khera Biography

Shamoly Khera - the face of UTV Stars, is an anchor, an actress and a doctor. A cosmologist and a qualified doctor, she has interest in writings and hosting shows. She is also a theatre actress. Since 2011 she had a long association with UTV Stars, and some of her popular shows are Live my life – Season 1 and 2 (aired during 2011-2013), Style addict (2011-2013), Superstar Santa (2012), Lux – the chosen one (2012) etc. She also hosted the show – World of Food on ZEE TV in 2013. She has also hosted many events since 2011. Also known as an editor and writer for magazines, she has published columns in The Indian Ad Reviewer, The Big M Music Magazine and Style Addict.

In 2009 she trained in acting from the prestigious Barry John Acting School. Since then she is associated with many theatre productions of different troupes. 'Asylum' and 'Utter Cupidity' are among her noted roles as a stage actress. She later went on to appear in many short films till 2011. Same year she got a major break to the world of television, as a TV host through the show, Live my life – Season 1 which she hosted during the period 2011. She successfully hosted the second season of the same show during the period 2012-2013. By that time she became a successful anchor of UTV, hosting many prime time entertainment shows. She joined UTV Stars since its inception in 2011 and became the face of the popular entertainment channel.

She studied cosmetology and worked as a doctor too. Yet she wanted to pursue something which her heart wanted to. Then she joined Barry John's acting school and started her career in theatre and television too. Khera is currently running her blog and also a magazine on music. Her show Style Addict, a weekly show based on fashion and Bollywood was also very popular. She wants to study psychology and also explore various human minds and brains.
