Shaheen Siddique Biography

Shaheen Siddique is an upcoming actor associated with Malayalam cinema. He is the elder son of well-established actor of Malayalam cinema – Siddique. He made his film debut in the year 2015 and acted in two Mammootty movies back to back. Pathemari marked his acting debut, followed by Acha Din, and Mammootty played lead role in both these movies. Pathemari was a major success at box office while Acha Din failed to impress the audience. Shaheen got opportunity to work with his father in the debut flick – Pathemari though they never had combination scenes. Siddique played a pivot role in the super hit film which told the story of Gulf Malayalis.

Shaheen Siddique was born on 21 February 1989 in Ernakulam into a filmy family. He schooled at The Choice School. He learnt to handle production at a film school in the U.K, and also joined acting school. But after studies he was into business before his film debut at the age of 27. This businessman took a long step to enter movies. Interestingly he played Mammootty’s son - a small role, of a guy in his late 20s in his debut movie, Pathemari. Jewel Mary, Siddique, Sreenivasan, Dinesh, Parvathi Menon, Joy Mathew, Anju Aravind and Anu Joseph were also included in the crew cast.

Earlier too Shaheen has been offered a few roles, as he belonged to a filmy family. However he didn’t accept any and got involved with business. He was initially reluctant to pursue a career in film acting, though he followed his father’s steps later. The film was scripted and directed by Salim Ahmed and the majority of the film was shot at Thrissur.
