Sana Maqbool Biography

Sana Makbul, also credited as Sana Khan and Sana Maqbool is a north Indian model associated with south Indian movies. She has also worked in Hindi television for a few soaps. She played lead roles in two south Indian movies - Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya (2014 – Telugu) and Rangoon (2015 – Tamil). In Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, she was paired with Ajay and Naga Shourya for the movie. The movie was directed by Trikoti and received mixed responses. She is paired with Gautham Karthik, for the movie Rangoon produced by AR Murugadoss and is yet to release.

Her real name is Sana Khan, a Maharastrian born in Mumbai. Her mother is a Keralite. She started her career as a model and also appeared in a few ads before she entered small screen. She participated in the reality show MTV Scooty Teen Diva in 2009, followed by Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De, Kitani Mohabbat Hai, l Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Arjun. Her role as ‘Riya Mukherjee’ in the investigation thriller ‘Arjun’ worth mentioning.  She participated in Femina Miss India 2012, and won the subtitle - Femina Miss Beautiful Smile. Telugu film Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya marked her acting debut, following a couple of movies where she played female lead.

The familiar face on Hindi television made her film debut through south Indian movies. Her mother is a Keralite and she used to view Malayalam movies since young. She likes the way movies are made here. That’s why she accepted south Indian offers, though she is associated with Hindi television. She played the role of a young independent girl and an aerobics teacher in her debut movie.
