Sakshi Sivanand Biography

Sakshi Sivanand is an Indian actress, who has appeared in all south Indian languages and Hindi films. She was a female sensation during 90’s. She debut Bollywood with the movie Papa kehte hain, along with Mayuri Ghongo in the year 1996. Jugal Husraj was the hero of this flop movie. Same year she debut Malayalam in Mohan Lal flick, Indraprastam. Malayalam movie Manjeeradwani was also released in the same year. Later she moved to other south Indian languages and was successful too. She was most appreciated in Telugu movies. Her sister Shilpa Sivanand resembles her a lot and she is a successful television actress. She works for Bollywood films also.  

 Sakshi Sivanand was born on April 15, 1977 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She entered film industry during middle 90’s. Telugu film industry gave her fame than other languages. She has acted with almost all leading actors of Tollywood including Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna in the late 90’s. Her debut in Telugu was with Chiranjeevi in a movie Master. This movie became a blockbuster hit and she became a hot face of Tollywood. Very soon she was paired successfully with almost all leading actors of the industry. She did Seetharamaraju opposite Nagarjuna that was an average and moderate success. In the film Vamsoddarakudu, she was paired opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna. She did Rajahamsa opposite youth sensation Abbas, the movie produced by Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited. Opposite Mohan Babu, she did the successful movie, Yamajathakudu. She acted with Mahesh babu in the movie Yuvraaj in the year 2000.

She has acted in the Tamil movies – Vedham, Maappillai Gounder, Maanasthan and Vaanchinathan.

She has appeared in Kannada movies - Thandege Thakka Maga, Soundarya, Param siva, Naanu Naane, Sainika and Galaate Aliyandru. Though she was not successful in Bollywood similar to south Indian movies, she got chance to work with actors like Govinda, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Jugal Husraj. She played the younger sister’s role in Sunil Shetty’s Kroadh, remake of Malayalam movie Hitler. Her Bollywood movies are Papa kehte hain, Kroadh, Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai, Khushi, Khalnayakon Ka Khalnayak and Jahan Jaaeyega Hamen Paaeyega.
