Sajid Yahiya Biography

Sajid Yahiya is a Malayalam film actor known for supporting roles. In 2016 he is to debut as a director through the action film, IDI - Inspector Dawood Ibrahim starring Jayasurya. Earlier Sajid has done pivot supporting roles in the recent releases, "Bangalore Days", "Pakida", "Amen", "Theevram", "Friday 11-11-11" etc. He is actively involved in several Malayalam films as assistant director. Sajid and filmmakers claims that the film will redefine the existing fight sequences of Malayalam cinema. The film is co-scripted by his cousin Arouz Irfan, who is also making his directorial debut through this film. He came to limelight for his performance in movies – “Bangalore Days" as Sami and "Friday" as Sobichan.

This young filmmaker was born in Alappuzha in the year 1980. Sajid made his film debut as an actor, playing a small role in the Malayalam film - ‘Collector’ released in 2011. He was seen in the bit role of William in the film. Later he played supporting roles in Friday, Kaashh, Arikil Oraal, Pakida, Double Barrel, Zachariayude Garbhinikal, Theevram and Amen. In 2016 he made his Tamil film debut through Bangalore Naatkal, reprising his role of the Malayalam version of the film. He played the role of Saami, member of Storm Riderz in both the versions. He was seen as a singer in the song - "Veyil Chilla" in Zachariayude Garbhinikal.

Sajid has also worked as an assistant director in the field. He joins hands with his cousin Arouz Irfan to mark his directorial debut. Arouz has earlier worked as an assistant director for the film - Friday 11.11.11, followed by Amen and Law Point as associate director. The duo has scripted the movie - IDI - Inspector Dawood Ibrahim together.
