Sajid Nadiadwala Biography

Sajid Nadiadwala is a successful film maker of Bollywood. He is also known as the husband of beautiful actress of 90’s – Divya Bharathi. Now he is married to Wardha Khan. As a film producer, his best money makers are Houseful, Houseful 2, Heyy baby, Jeet, Waqt hamari hai, Mujhse shaadi karoge, Har dil jo pyar karega, Judwaa and Kambaqt Ishq. He has made many hit movies with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Together they were teamed up consecutively in two movies – Mujhse shaadi karoge and Jaan-E-Mann. Mujhse shaadi karoge with Priyanka Chopra as leading actress was a big hit while Jaan-E-Mann with Preity Zinta failed at box office. He owns a production company called "Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd" and has delivered many successful hits. The grand name, Nadiadwala itself has produced movies for more than 4 decades. Firoz A. Nadiadwala is Sajid’s cousin. A.G.Nadiadwala, film producer of cult comedy ‘Hera Pheri’ is also his relative.

Sajid Nadiadwala was born on February 18, 1966. His family is a huge branch of cinema who has delivered numerous movies to Bollywood. Sajid is a lawyer by education. Nadiadwala started his career as a production assistant in his uncle's production house. Later he established his own production company - Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd and now it’s delivering numerous hit movies to Bollywood. His production company has also distributed Teri meri kahani starring Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor in leading roles.

Among all his movies of his production company, Jaan-E-Mann and Anjana Anjaani are the biggest disasters. Despite being widely marketed, both these movies failed to reach the expectations of public. However the music of both these movies were top chartbusters and remembered till now. With Salman Khan, he has produced Judwaa, Jaan-E-Mann, Mujhse shaadi karoge, Jeet and Har dil jo pyar karega and with Akshay Kumar, he has done Mujhse shaadi karoge, Houseful, Houseful 2, Waqt hamara hai, Jaan-E-Mann and Kambaqt ishq. Sajid Khan has been a part of his production company for his hit movies – Houseful series and Heyy baby. Now Sajid Nadiadwala has announced his next movie ‘Kick’ with director’s cap for the first time. Again, this movie will star Salman Khan in the leading role.   

Sajid Nadiadwala married Divya Bharathi in 1992. But in 1993, she fell from the top of a building and met with an accidental death. After that, for every movie produced by Nadiadwala, he used to dedicate it in the memory of his beloved wife. He later married journalist Warda Khan and has two children.
