Sai Kumar (kannada Actor) Biography

Sai Kumar is a south Indian film actor, television host and dubbing artist. He has been associated with all south Indian languages except Malayalam. He is the son of actor turned dubbing artist - P. J. Sarma who is also known as a scriptwriter. His younger brother P. Ravi Shankar is a well-established dubbing actor of Kannada film industry, also known as an actor. Though Sai Kumar has appeared in many movies as the lead actor and action hero, he earned appreciation as a villain. 'Thirunamgalam' and 'Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam' are his recent releases in Tamil where he played villain’s role. 'Aadi' and 'Samanyudu' were his notable Telugu releases of the decade. He is married to Surekha. Promising young actor, Aadi is his son.

His real name is Pudipeddi Saikumar, born in Vijayanagaram, Andhra Pradesh. Both his father and younger brother are film fraternities known as actors and dubbing artists. He too joined the same stream and became successful in both these roles. He is most known for portraying negative shaded and supporting roles. His clarity in diction played a significant role in his success as a dubbing artist and he has been mostly associated with the cine artists, Suman and Dr. Rajasekhar. As a film actor, he is most successful in portraying police officer and politician roles. Now he is also active in politics, joining hands with Bharatiya Janata Party.

He received his first Nandi award in the year 2006 for portraying the negative role for Samanyudu. He received his second Nandi award in 2010 for the supporting role he played in Prasthanam. Both these movies earned him Filmfare award for supporting roles as well.  Prasthanam bagged him CineMAA Award for Best Supporting Actor and TSR – TV9 Award for Best Villain. As a television anchor, Wow on ETV Telugu is his most successful TV show which earned him several recognitions as well.
