Sabrina Setlur Biography 
Sabrina Setlur is a German rapper, songwriter and actress of south Indian origin. His father Krishnan Setlur, a banker is a Kannadian, while her mother Theresa, a Malayali nurse. She is best known for her single, "Du Liebst Mich Nicht”. She is a recipient of three ECHO Awards for "Best National Female Artist”, the only female artist who reached this achievement. Her albums and singles have been sold over two million copies and she is an international artist who is immensely popular. Started her singing career in 1995, she has completed two decades in the music field. She is also a popular TV personality. She was formerly known as Schwester S.
She was born on January 10, 1974 in Frankfurt am Main, Hessen, Germany. She is of Indian descend. Both her parents are south Indians, settled in Germany. She has one younger sister. The childhood of the siblings was spent in Bad Soden am Taunus. Since her high school days she was associated with music. In 1993, impressed by her performance, Hofmann and Pelham, her acquaintances at school asked her to perform for a track. As she had no previous experience as a rapper she hesitated first. But later she accepted and recording the track. Though she later joined a Business school, she quit studies when she got a music deal with 3p Records. Here began the successful journey of a singing star.
She used the name Schwester S for her early recordings. Her single "Ja klar" released in 1995 was a great success. Same year she released her first album - S ist soweit. She won the first ECHO award for "Best Female Artist” for that album. Her second album, Die Neue S-Klasse was released in 1997, followed by Aus der Sicht und mit den Worten von in 1999. Sabs (2003) and Rot (2007) are among her noted works later.
