Roshni Walia Biography

Roshni Walia is a child artist associated with Bollywood and Hindi television serials.  She currently plays the lead character in Zee television's Yeh Vaada Raha. She has also appeared in several television ads. Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, Ringa Ringa Roses, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Gumrah: End of Innocence and Yeh Vaada Raha are her television works. She has also acted in Bollywood movies - My Friend Ganesha 3 and Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai. She played the young female protagonist in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap in 2014 (child artist), the role for which she won 2015 Lions Gold Awards in the category ‘Favourite Child Artist — Female’. She also received a nomination for Best Child Actor - Female in 13th Indian Telly Awards 2014.

Roshni was born on 20 September 2001 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. She has one elder sister. Walia began her career with television commercials, followed by TV serials. Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, aired on Life Ok was her first series, where she played the role of young Jiyana. Later she played the role of Samir Soni’s daughter in Ringa Ringa Roses on Life OK. She played the young female protagonist - Rajkumari Ajabde Punwar, the first wife of Maharana Pratap in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap in 2014.

2014 has been a busy year for Roshni. She also appeared in the third season of Gumrah: End of Innocence aired on Channel V India. Currently she portrays the cute girl Surbhi, one of the parallel leads of Zee television's Yeh Vaada Raha. She has done some south Indian ads. She also signed Deeparaj's next horror film. Though young she has played some lead roles on television.
