Rizabawa, also pronounced as Riza Bawa is a noted character artist of Malayalam cinema, known for portraying powerful antogonist’s role onscreen. His antagonist role as John Honai in Siddique-Lal’s comic action thriller ‘In Harihar Nagar’ (1990) remains one of his most memorable performances up-to-date. As per latest updates, a movie titled John Honai is in pipeline with the same combination of 4 friends – Mukesh, Ashokan, Siddique and Jagadeesh; and Rizabawa is to play an important character in the movie. He has also done a few positive roles, though a few. He was a theater artist, who later landed into the world of cinema.

He was born in Kochi in 24 September 1966. He completed his school studies at St. Sebastian's HSS, Thoppumpady. He started his career as a theatre artist. He made his film debut through 1990 mega blockbuster - In Harihar Nagar, directed by Siddique-Lal. The movie has been later remade to several Indian languages and its sequel was also made about 2 decades later. His role as John Honai is one of the most popular villain roles ever appeared on Malayalam screen. This singke movie cemented his position in Malayalam film industry as a villain and he was one of the most sought villains of 1990s. Occasionally he played character and comic roles as well. Now he is active in television and also plays supporting roles in movies. Bhagyalakshmi, Kattukurangu and Aniyathi are some of his television roles.

As a film actor, his best roles are In Harihar nagar, Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava, Vadhu doctoranu, Ente Hridyathinte Udama, Punyam, Ivar, Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan, Champakkulam Thachan, Irrikku M.D. Akathudu, Priyapetta Kukkoo, Amina Tailors, Agni Nilavu, Niram, Thattakam, Ezhara Ponnana, Dr Pasupathy, Ente Ponnu Thampuran etc. He was most recently seen in the movie - Zachariayude Garbhinikal (2013).
