Ritu Barmecha Biography

Ritu Barmecha is a south Indian film actress associated with Telugu movies. Her brothers Rajat Barmecha and Vicky are also pursuing a career in acting in Indian film industry. Her cousin Bharat Jain is an anchor, presenter and live performer is best known for hosting youth festivals in colleges across India, and is a Master of Ceremonies. Ritu Barmecha marked her film debut in a lead role opposite Allari Naresh, in the film Aha Naa Pellanta directed by Veerabhadram Chowdary. She later worked in two more Telugu films - Vasool Raja and Action 3D, and one Hindi series, Agar Tum Saath Ho in a lead role in 2016 before she took a break from acing.

Ritu Barmecha hails from Delhi. She was born into a Hindu family in 1988. She celebrates her birthday on 16 November. She was born into a non-filmy background. Yet, she along with both brothers pursued a career in acting. In fact her brother Rajat Barmecha shot to fame after playing lead role in Udaan, Bollywood film. Travelling remains her favourite hobby, and she posts her pictures regularly in instagram. She is a bit feminist by nature, and a nature lover. Ritu started her career with modelling, and later moved to acting roles. She marked her acting debut with south Indian movies, and also worked in one Hindi TV drama in a lead role.

Ritu marked her acting debut with Aha Naa Pellanta opposite Allari Naresh. The movie was released in 2011. She played the lead role of Sanjana in this film. After that she bagged a couple of more roles from Telugu cinema – Jaanu in Vasool Raja and Sandhya in Action 3D, and both were commercial entertainers.
