Rishi Rich Biography 
Rishi Rich is an English Indian music producer from Croydon, England. He is London based. He is internationally known for his Bhangra tracks, Hindi remixes, and as a pioneer of Indian-R&B fusion music. Through the Rishi Rich Project, he launched many British Asian artists of whom Jay Sean’s name special mention. His real name is Rishpal Singh Rekhi. Simply Rich in 2002 with Ishq Records and The Project in 2006 with 2point9 Records are his solo albums. He now runs Rishi Rich Productions and often appears in Bollywood songs.
His career began with working with Asian artists in UK. In 2003, he signed management contract with 2Point9 Records and formed Rishi Rich Project to give opportunities to budding talents. He released Asian Underground scene, which was a huge hit. It included contemporary R&B -Bhangra fusion and was welcomed by fans of both these genres. Then he focused on Indian music and Indian subcontinent and popularized Indian-R&B fusion sounds in Indian pop scene. "Dance with You (Nachna Tere Naal)" (2003) was his debut solo project. It featured Jay Sean singing in English and Juggy D in Punjabi. The song peaked at #12 on the UK Singles Charts and #2 on the Dutch Top 40. It also won "Best Single R&B" at the 2003 UK Asian Music Awards. It gave a fine platform for Jay Sean too. The song was also included in Bollywood movie – Boom.
In 2007, Rishi parted with his record company 2Point9 Records. Then he released his first solo album Simply Rich fuses urban music and bhangra. His second solo release was ‘The Project’ in 2006. In 2007 Rishi Rich started Rishi Rich Productions (RRP) with Waleed Jahangir. Rishi has produced a track for the Bollywood movie – Hum Tum in 2004.
