Rishi Bhutani Biography

Rishi Bhutani is a popular actor associated with Bollywood films, best known for playing the lead role of an angry young man in the 2009 film - Bolo Raam, a remake of Tamil film, Raam. He shared screen space with Disha Pandey and Padmini Kolhapure for this film. The movie was directed by Rakesh Chaturvedi and earned him a nomination for Best Actor at Lions Gold Awards. LOC... A Playground (2012) and Jai Jawaan Jai Kisaan (2014) are other Bollywood appearances and he was also seen in Tamil flick - Madisar Mami in 2014. He is play a role in the upcoming French film, Highland. Zindagi Jhingalala Re, Teri Talash and Ashley are his upcoming Hindi movies.

He was born on 18th of December 1980 in a small village Modinagar, Meerut, U.P. Hariprashad Bhutani and Veena Bhutani are his parents and he has two siblings. His elder brother Rajat Bhutani lives in US while his second brother Goldy Bhutani owns Shree Keshav Films. His schooling was done at his hometown and later he studied IT. However he moved to Mumbai to pursue his dreams in Bollywood. He worked in a software company for a while before he moved to the city of dreams.

He made his film debut in the year 2009, playing the lead role in Bolo Raam. Till now audience remember him for his role as an obsessive son in this Bollywood thriller. In 2015 he portrayed the role of former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in Jai Jawaan Jai Kisaan, based on the life of Lal Bahadur Shashtri. He shared screen space with Bollywood veterans - Om Puri, Prem Chopra and Rati Agnihotri in the movie dedicated to India’s second Prime Minister.
