Richa Mukherjee Biography

Richa Mukherjee is a very popular actress of Hindi television entertainment. She has also appeared in a few Bollywood films like Karzz, Paathshaala, Dhamaaletc in child roles. She made her television debut in 2005 as a child artist and later moved to adult roles. She played the childhood role of the lead actress Lakshmi in the TV show, Kumkum in 2005 and was later seen in child roles in movies such as Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, Man Mein Hai Visshwas, Kasturi etc. She played the child role of lead actress Kasturi in the series named Kasturi in 2007. Her role as Vaisali in DhartiKa Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan (2006-2007) was her real break to her acting career.

 

She is born in Hyderabad, south India and she is of Bengali origin. She was born on 22nd July, 1996. She made her acting debut at the age of 9 through the TV show – Kumkum, where she played the child role of the lead actress. After playing child roles in a few serials, she showed her acting potential through the historic series, Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan. She surprised everyone in the role of beautiful Vaisali. Since then roles came pouring in and she played numerous roles on mini screen. Ek Nayi Chhoti Si Zindagias Isha on Zee TV is one of the popular shows after that.

 

Currently she plays the role of Lakshmanaa in SuryaputraKarn aired on Sony TV since 2016. She was most recently seen in Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed as Munni. Ek Nayi Chhoti Si Zindagi,           Mahabharata, Mata Ki Chowkietc are other noted works. She excelled in mythological and historic shows and her role as Uttara in Mahabharata was also well appreciated. She was also featured in the TV commercials of Big Bazaar, Pepsi and Tata Sky.
