Ravindra Kumar Biography 
Dr. Ravindra Kumar is an eminent writer, political scientist, peace-worker, philosopher and educationist. He is best known for writing more than 150 works on great personalities of the Indian Sub-Continent who has contributed to the country in the form of social, religious, historical, cultural and political ways. His works on Mahatma Gandhi – Mahatma Gandhi at the close of 20th century, Gandhian thoughts – New World New Dimensions and India and Mahatma Gandhi earned him much appreciation. Though his works are mostly concentrated on Gandhian thoughts, he has also written books on Swami Vivekananda and many others. Now he is the editor-in-chief of the 'Global Peace International Journal'. He received Padma Shri from President K. R. Narayanan in 2001. He received this award for his contributions to the fields of Literature and Education.
He was born in the New Year day of 1959 in Meerut. After Master’s, he took PGD in Gandhian Studies. He has a remarkable career as an academician and has also worked as professor in many Indian and other universities. Throughout the years he has also served as visiting professor in many universities globally. As a scholar and writer too, he has given significant contributions. He held Vice-Chancellor position of CCS University, Meerut in 1994. He is an executive member of many Associations.
He is a professor, writer and peace activist who is interested in all peace and human-rights related activities. As a cultural ambassador of India, he has actively participated in many forums, organized seminars and symposiums at national and international level and has also delivered speeches on Indian culture and integrity. Gandhism is also his favourite subject. He has also served as the editor of ‘Global Peace’ - An International Journal of Philosophy, Peace, Education and Culture.
