Rattan Mohan Sharma Biography 
Rattan Mohan Sharma is a leading Hindustani vocalist belonging to Mewati Gharana and he was born in a musical family of renowned musicians. He is the nephew and disciple of great music exponent Pandit Jasraj and Durga Jasraj, the noted actress and dancer is his cousin. Apart from classical forms of music, he is also an exponent of light music as well as folk music. He is a popular name in Rajasthani folk music. Apart from numerous live performances including music festivals, he has also recorded countless music albums in his name. Mewati Gharana gaurav puraskar, Shankar Rao Vyas Award, Sur Ratna Award, Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj rotating Trophy and Sur Mani Award are the major awards received by his singer.
He was born in Rajasthan on 14 June 1971. His parents are Mohan Lal Sharma and Padma Sharma. He has been associated with music at a younger age and has also learnt music instruments like tabla till he reached 15. After that he completely concentrated on to vocal singing. He is the disciple of his uncle Pandit Jasraj. Apart from Jasraj, several leading musicians of Mewati Gharana like Pandit Pratapnarayan, Pandit Motiram and Pandit Maniram also come from his family.
Apart from the successful career as a vocalist, he has also composed a few songs. A few of his devotional albums are Hanuman Raksha Kavach, Lalita Shahastra Naam, Sapta vaar katha, Navagraha Shakti and Krishna Leela. He has also recorded one album titled Utsav, alongside film music composer cum singer, Shankar Mahadevan. He has played a significant role in reviving the mass appeal of Sanskrit across India. He is married to Ekta Sharma and has a son.
