Rashi Khanna Biography

Rashi Khanna is an Indian actress who works in Telugu and Hindi movies. She shot to fame after playing John Abraham’s wife in highly acclaimed Bollywood film – Madras Café in 2013. Her character name was Ruby Singh. It happened to be her debut film also. Following this role, she made foray into south Indian movies with the Telugu film - Oohalu Gusagusalade in 2014 which became a huge hit. Manam and Joru are two more Telugu films released the same year. A busy actress of Tollywood at present, Jil and Shivam are her latest releases in 2015. Her upcoming projects are Bengal Tiger and Supreme, both slated to release in 2016.

This actress born in the year 1992 has been a model before she entered the film industry. Indian political spy thriller film Madras Café marked her acting debut in 2013, and she went several workshops for the role as intelligence officer Vikram Singh’s wife. Though her role was short, it was sweet, enough to make an impact with the significant performance. Very soon she got her first offer from Telugu cinema. Impressed by her role in the debut film, she was approached by actor Srinivas Avasarala for his first directorial venture. She played the female lead opposite Naga Shourya for Oohalu Gusagusalade, and the movie became a huge hit completing 50 days of successful run at theatres.

Very soon offers came pouring in and very soon she became a busy actress of Tollywood. Till now, she has appeared in 5 Telugu movies and two more are waiting for release. Her latest release ‘Shivam’ was a big flop. She is being paired with Sai Dharam Tej, for the upcoming flick – Supreme.
