Randeep Hooda Biography

Randeep Hooda is a popular actor of Bollywood in new generation cinema. He works both in commercial movies as well as off-beat movies and audience like to remember him most for the role he played in Jism 2, opposite Sunny Leone. He debut Bollywood in 2001 through the movie – Monsoon wedding and has done a series of successful movies in Bollywood. He has done guest appearance in a few movies like Cocktail. A few of his hit movies include Jism 2, Saheb biwi aur gangster, Once upon a time in Mumbai, Rub a ru, Rang rasiya, Love kichdi, Cocktail, Bombay talkies, Heroine, Murder 3, Jannat 2, Darna Zaroori hai and Risk. Now he is a popular actor of Mahesh Bhatt’s camp, with whose home production has given movies like Jism 2, Murder 3 and Jannat.  His movies – Ungli, John day and Highway are yet to release in 2013.   

Randeep Singh Hooda was born on August 20, 1976 in Haryana. He was a sports star during his school days and has won many athletic medals in national level. But later, his interests tilted towards theatre and he began to participate in plays during college days. In 1995, he went to Australia to get bachelor degree in marketing. Once he returned back, he showed interest in modeling and began his modeling career. Parallel, he was working in theatre also when he got a call from director Mira nair and thus he got a role in her movie, Monsoon wedding in 2001.

Then it took 4 years to do next movie. Next movie was ram Gopal Varma’s D and his role of different colour shades was well appreciated by critics too. Again, he worked for a few unsuccessful movies. He got a role in Milan Luthria's debut movie as a director - Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. The movie as whole was well appreciated for the roles played by each actor and the team effort contributed a lot to the success of the movie too.

Again, it was the movie Jism 2, with much popularity that made him a known face everywhere. His name is among the most sought actors of Bollywood at present.
