Ramesh Thilak Biography

Ramesh Thilak is a Tamil film actor known for supporting and character roles. Soodhu Kavvum (Film debut) is his best performance up to date. He also appeared in the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual movies – Neram (2013) and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (Samsaaram Aarogyathinu Haanikaram – 2014) and both the movies featured Nazriya Nazim in lead role and were sleeper hits too. He played the role of a thief in Neram while he appeared as a film star’s fan in the most recent release - Vaayai Moodi Pesavum. He beautifully portrayed the pivot role of Boomesh's fans association leader in both the versions. He has signed his maiden movie as a lead star - Orange Mittai for Tamil and the movie is directed by Vijay Sethupathi. Ramesh has also appeared in a few short films.

Ramesh was a radio jockey before entering movies. He was a popular RJ of Suryan FM often credited as "Thillu Mullu" Ramesh. He made his small screen debut with Vijay TV's Kanna Kaanum Kalangal and immortalized the role of Algates alias Alalgeshan, which was a huge hit among fans. He marked his big screen debut with Soodhu Kavvum released in 2013. Through this breakthrough performance as Sekhar – a kidnapper, he received praises from critics and the movie too was a commercial hit. The movie was the directorial debut of Nalan Kumarasamy.

His second release was comic thriller released in two languages – Neram, where he portrayed a similar role of a robber. The supporting role was well appreciated and both its versions were commercial hits as well. He has signed for Biju Viswanath’s upcoming movie, Orange Mittai, in the lead role and it is directed by Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi.
