Ramarajan Biography 
Ramarajan is an Indian film actor who was active during 1980s. He was popular for acting in village themed films and was affectionately known as Makkal Nayakan and Pasu Nesan. He used to appear in colorful costumes in his films and later entered politics and became an MP.
He was born on 8th October in Melur in Madurai district. He stated his life as a cinema entrance ticket validator. Then he turned to be a plantain seller. He tried his luck in cinema industry and evolved to be a producer.
His films were noted for their simple village based concepts and they turned to be great success at box office in 1980s. As his films turned out to be the highest grosser, he was even known as Vasool Chakravarthi. He was hailed as the next MGR in film industry. His film Karagattakaaran was a huge success and ran for a year.
He fell in love with his fellow actress Nalini and married her. They have twins, a son and a daughter named Arun and Aruna. However after 13 years, due to some misunderstandings they were divorced. Nalini is acting in television series after their divorce.
He entered politics and in 1998 Lok Sabha elections, he was elected from Tiruchendur constituency on behalf of All India Anna Dravid Munnetra Kazhagam party. However, after a certain time period, he met with failures both in his film career and political career. His ventures as a director and producer are also not successful.
In December 2010 when he was on his way from Chennai to Tirunelveli, he met with a major accident near Kallikkudi and his driver Rajarathinam was killed on the spot and he and his assistant Daas were severely injured and were admitted in Thirumangalam Government Hospital and he slowly recovered from that catastrophe.
Some of the films that he has acted include Namma Ooru Nalla Ooru, Senpagame Senpagame, Raasave Unnai Nambi, Enga Ooru Paattukkaaran, Ondru Engal Jaathiye, Namma Oor Nayagan, Raja Raja Than, Ooru Vittu Ooru Vanthu, Enga Ooru Maappillai, Manushukketha Maharasa, Anbukkattalai, Naadu Adhai Naadu, Nenjamundu Nermaiundu, Oorellam Un Paattuthan, etc.
