Ramajogayya Sastry Biography 
Ramajogayya Sastry is a lyricist associated with Telugu cinema. He received Filmfare award for best lyricist (Telugu) in 2010 for the devotional song - "Sada Siva Sanyasi" from the movie - Mahesh Khaleja. He received nomination at SIIMA Award for Best Lyricist for the popular song - Eega Eega Eega. Endukante... Premanta earned him best lyricist award at Maa Music award for the year 2012. He was a software engineer by profession before entering film field as a song writer. He has penned lyrics for more than 100 Telugu movies and one of the most sought lyricist of Telugu cinema at present. He is one of the top paid lyricists of the industry too. He charges a cool Rs 1.5 lakhs per song and is quite popular with his peppy and catch lyrics. He also wrote lyrics for a few Kannada songs.
He was born in Arepalli Muppalla, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh on August 24, 1970 in an agricultural family. His father, Suryaprakasa Rao, was a priest and agriculturist. He completed B. Tech in computer engineering from NIT Warangal and M.Tech at IIT Kharagpur. While doing B.Tech, he concentrated much on writing lyrics. Then he started his professional career as a software engineer at Bangalore. It was during this time when he got opportunity to pen lyrics for private albums. He wrote lyrics for more than 40 albums. He also wrote three Kannada songs during this period and got support from noted Kannada director cum actor, Ravichandran.
He got opportunity to assist Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, while working on a dubbed version. His career started in Tollywood with two songs in Yuvasena, a remake of the Malayalam film 4 The People. Om namaste bolo of Ready was his first major break. There was no turning back after that and now, one of the established lyrists of the industry.
