Rajeev Govinda Pillai Biography 
Rajeev Govinda Pillai is an upcoming Malayalam film actor he has worked with Vijay in hit Tamil movie, Thalaivaa. He has also acted in Priyadarshan’s Hindi movie - Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal. He mostly appears in supporting roles. He made his acting debut in the year 2011 with Babu Janardhanan’s City of God and has made notable appearances in Teja Bhai & Family, Karma Yodha, Bombay March 12, D Company, 1983, Veendum Kannur etc. Guru Dakshinia and Second Innings are his upcoming movies. He is also a member of Kerala’s celebrity cricket team - Kerala Strikers since 2012. He is also a successful model and has appeared in Lakme Fashion week, the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week and the Couture Week for the leading fashion designers of the country like Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal, Rocky S, Varul Bahl etc.
He belongs to Thiruvalla of Pathanthitta district. Vallamkulam is his native place. He is a dentist by profession. He started his career as a model and he had no intentions in mind to land into the film world. When many models aimed for an entry to film world, Rajeev too desired to enter film industry. He was to debut films with the movie directed by Deepan of Puthiyamukham fame. He was to star aside Nivin Pauley for this movie. But the movie got shelved.
It was the same director Deepan who asked him to attend the audition of ‘City of God’. Though he got selected in the audition and got opportunity to play a notable role in the film, the failure of the movie didn’t help him much. He continued with modelling and also appeared in a few movies of other languages. Veendum Kannur – was a notable performance which brought him back to track.
