Rajasekhar Biography

Dr. Rajasekhar is a south Indian actor known for portraying angry young man type of roles. He debut big screen as a villain in Tamil Film “Pudumai Penn” and made his Telugu debut film with Vande Matharam. After that he became permanently associated with Telugu film industry. He is a popular hero of Telugu film industry noted for the early releases like Deergha Sumangali Bhava, Balarama Krishunulu, Raja Simham, Aaveshem and many more. Allaripriyudu, Agraham, Ankusam, Stationmaster and Sruthilayalu are his noted hits and he is mostly known for portraying Police inspector roles. Meesaikaran, Mannikka Vendugiren, Aambala, Adiyaal and Akka are his noted Tamil hits and his most memorable role is for the movie ‘Idthu thaanda police’ which was a big commercial hit. This actor had to struggle a lot in the industry to place himself among the leading stars. He has acted in more than 50 movies.

Rajasekhar was born in Lakshmipuram of Theni district. He was born in the family of D. C. Varadharajan. He is a doctor by profession who completed his MBBS and practiced in Chennai for a while before completely switching over to movies. He is married to south Indian actress Jeevitha and has two daughters. He made his Telugu film debut in 1985 with Vande Mataram. When he came to industry, the film industry was completely dominated by cine stars like Shoban Babu, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Chiranjeevi, Krihsnam Raju, Chandramohan etc. So he had to struggle a lot to find his place in the industry.

He mostly acted in low budget movies and they turned to be success which gave profits to its distributors. Nava Bharatham, Nyayam Kosam, Mardhallu sawal, Annapoorna Gaari Alludu, Indra Dhanasu and Mister Hero can be included in this list. ‘Sheshu’ and Omkaram‘ received critics’ appreciation and Avadite Nakenti is his recent hit.
